Catch glimpse of Iran highest point

Mount Damavand is the highest peak in Iran with a special place in Persian mythology and folklore. The magnificent peak lies in the northern part of Iran.

The volcanic peak is the symbol of Iranian resistance against despotism and foreign invasion in Persian poetry and literature. Persian poet Ferdowsi has made some references to this peak in his masterpiece, the Shahnameh:
